Philosophy of the Taekwondo.

The Taekwondo is not only a physical practice or sport. The Taekwondo is a Martial Art; a complete system of physical exercises, intellectual development and philosophical beginning. It relates narrowly to the oriental philosophy, especially in his ideal dualístico of harmony: Yin-Yang.
Nevertheless, there are persons who do not understand the ideal one of the Martial Arts, and they consider his philosophy to be a type of "religious" beginning. Certainly, it is not correct by no means. The Martial Arts, included the Taekwondo, are not a religion. The correct comprehension of a Martial Art can be the way one itself to be known and to the rest of the world, but nothing more.
The foundation in the practice of the Taekwondo is the technology. The system of training implies an endless repetition and development of the studied technologies, both assaults and defenses and combat and pumses. Today the Taekwondo has developed as a sport and system of physical education of great success. This only is possible across the union of the three ideal ones of the Taekwondo:
 - The ideal one of technical perfection.
 - The ideal one that combines mind and spirit for the process of autodevelopment.
 - The ideal one of harmony between the man and the nature.
HISTORY OF THE THOUGHT IN KOREA
We Will Name brief the different philosophical theories that have influenced Korea's history to understand better the philosophy of the Taekwondo as Martial Art.
The ancestors koreanos were depending spiritually on the power of the nature: sky, clouds, the Sun, moon, trees, rocks, etc... With the agriculture, they unified his thought in the philosophical beginning of "Seon" (impeccable virtuosity). On the base of this beginning, the Buddhism and the Confuncionismo reigned on the people koreano up to accustoming them to devoting itself to the nation and the company, to the detriment of the individuality. This way, the people were thinking about the reponsabilidades first, and they were using always a will of justice. These philosophies of life: "Seon", Buddhism, Confuncionismo; together with the Taoism, they influenced in the code of honor of the HwaRangDo, warlike body of the kingdom of Chair.
Today, the spirit of the Taekwondo can be summarized better by the influence of the Humanism ("hongik-ingan"): spirit of love and peace, integrity and responsibility.
HONOR'S CODE OF THE HWARANGDO
- " Serves your gentleman with loyalty. "
 - " It serves your parents with affiliated piety. "
 - " He trusts in your friends. "
 - " Never to give up itself in the battle. "
 - " On having taken a life, be selective. "
CURRENT CODE OF CONDUCT
The orders of the Taekwondo are used as a guide for the moral development of the students. The student who does not understand completely this beginning cannot wait dominate the royal essence of the Art. The following list describes an example of the code of conduct of Taekwondo's typical school.
 - Loyalty to your nation.
 - I respect your parents.
 - Loyalty to your espos.
 - I respect to your herman@s.
 - Loyalty to your friends.
 - I respect the major ones.
 - I respect your teacher.
 - Honesty and to represent to the justice.
 - Comity.
 - Never to take a life unjustly.
 - Loyalty to your school.
 - It finishes what you begin.
BEGINNING TO CONTINUING
it is a question of doctrines taken as truths. The beginning uses as guide the students of Taekwondo. The following list is extracted of the International Taekwondo Alliance (ITA), but they are perfectly valid:
 - Honor: personal dignity before the adversity.
 - Comity: consideration, humility, urbanity, education.
 - Integrity: honesty, sincerity, ethics, moral code.
 - Perseverance: patience, to overcome difficulties, witness, perfection.
 - Self-control: internal domain of the emotions; inside and out of the dojang.
 - Courage and Indomitable Spirit: to confront the danger with resolution, not to tolerate an injustice.
 - Solidarity: to contribute to the company, we are not alone in the world.
PROCEDURE OF BEHAVIOR INSIDE THE DOJANG; IT LABELS
to finish, we will indicate some practical general rules to observe before and during the classes:
 - To take the clean and ironed Dobok.
 - Hands and feet to be cleaned. To take short nails.
 - If the Dobok is not used, not to take things sharpened in the clothes.
 - To take neither jewels nor clocks.
 - Not to eat, to smoke neither to drink in the dojang, to chew chewing gum.
 - Punctuality.
 - I greet at the entry and exit of the dojang.
 - To guard silence when it proceeds (during explanations, exercises, etc ...).
THE DOBOK AND THE BELTS
Since we have mentioned, numerous philosophical oriental doctrines base the beginning of the Taekwondo. Between his concepts the harmony in the life is very important. Not many people know that this beginning also follows in the construction of the uniform of training: dobok. Three geometric figures are combined:
 - Square: in sleeves and trousers.
 - Circle: in the belt tied to the waist.
 - Triangle: in neck.
In agreement with the theory of the Yin and the Yang, 3 principal components of the universe and the geometric figures of the dobok they have his meaning:
The trousers symbolize the Earth, the belt represents the Man, and the top article the Sky. Thus, the final form of the belt, a circle, symbolizes the circuit of the human life between the sky and the land. The white color is the purity of conscience and the peace.
The color of the belt is an indication of the technical level of a student of Taekwondo. Often a belt can be acquired gaining competitions, but the habitual and more suitable way is completing an examination.
In Spain (Taekwondo WTF) 11 Kups exists, beginning from 11ºKup (belt white-innocence) and finishing with 1ºKup (quoit), happening for white - yellow (10 º), yellow (9 º), yellow - orange (8 º), orange (7 º), orange - green (6 º), green (5 º), green - blue (4 º), blue (3 º), and blue - quoit (2 º). In other countries, though also inside the WTF, the red color is used instead of the quoit and they do not use orange, for what 9 Kups goes out. The major ones of 16 years do not happen for the intermediate belts, for what only they happen for 6 Kups in Spain and 5 Kups in other countries. The diverse degrees of Bang can be considered to be an intermediate step of the Kups to Danish and only for 16-year-old minors.
Inside the WTF yes that is common for all the countries the existence of 9 Danish beginning with the first one and finishing with the ninth one, though there have been some persons counted in the history who have received the tenth one They Give posthumously. It is Spain possibility of examination exists only even 5 º Give, the rest they depend on the merits. All the Danes are represented by a black belt. The black is objected of the white (innocence) and represents the maturity of the student in the Art. Also it indicates to be impenetrable for the fear and the darkness.
